5th District Convention 2025 - Well Attended!!!

The Republican Party 5th District convention was held on Saturday, April 5, 2025, at the Wilkes AG Center in Wilksboro, NC.  There were 163 delegates in attendance.  Billy Miller was Chair of the convention.  The first item of the convention was a congressional update by U.S. Congresswoman Virginia Foxx followed by an NC GOP Update by Chairman Jason Simmons.  Statewide and local candidates had an opportunity to speak to the attendees.  The business portion of the convention contained reports from the Credentials Committee, Rules Committee, Plan of Organization Committee, and Resolution Committee.  The election of the officers was then conducted. 

The newly elected officers of the 5th District are:  Jack Simms, Chair; Christopher Meadows, Vice Chair; Patricia Andrews, Secretary; and Rick Woods, Treasurer.

Billy Miller ran the convention and turned the gavel over to Jack Simms at the conclusion of the elections for the new officers.
