The Ashe County Republican Party had its County Convention on Saturday, March 9, 2024.
Speakers at the Ashe County Convention included U.S. Congresswoman Virginia Foxx, NC Senator Ralph Hise, NC House Representative Ray Pickett, NC District Judge Donna Shumate, and Sheriff Phil Howell. Also present at the County Convention were Commissioner Jerry Powers, Republican Candidate for Commissioner Wes Greene, and School Board Member Janet Ward.
Precinct meetings were held prior to the County Convention and new precinct chairs were determined.
